A registration fee of USD$9.00 includes future maintenance and minor updates. There are no annual fees. (There could be an update fee in the future for a sustainable major upgrade or rewrite of the code). During the 30 day free trial, please ensure SkyTrack works satisfactory with your mount. All sales are final, refunds will not be issued. Academic Institutions or public observatories, please email [email protected] to apply for a no-cost registration code.
As a hobbyist astronomer and programmer, I originally considered distributing SkyTrack as freeware, but decided it may be a good way of raising funds for a cause that is very important to me. As a member of the board of African Christian Missions of Canada , I am committed to donating all registration fees (less the paypal fees) to the ACM Operation Hope Program - supporting school costs for orphaned African children.
