Hi John,
I am a bit confused. Is it going to be Open Source or not?

Not yet. The GoFundMe failed to reach the goal. So I am mulling over other ideas with a few people.

I wanted to fix some little bugs, improve the joystick interface, and add support for GPS-enabled mounts.

I am not a programmer, but have some good feature requests and can provide good testing feedback, here is my list I been working on. I never submitted it as updates were slow.

Sat Tracker Improvements: 9-4-2018

#1 Vastly improve tracking feedback panel (may ideas here). This will allow easier centering of satellites

D/L TLE within ST.

World View shown all the time while scrolling through the satellite list.

Support multiple monitor windows

Better night vision

Internet time (function like atomic clock sync or similar)

Better Sat filter Selection
   Add Geo sat Filter
Direction, able to select more than just one direction (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW)

Remember last Com port connected
Better comm help, like show available com ports available.

World map stay in place, always pops up in front of main window

Save settings option, if you use window X (close), does not remember changed settings

Lat/Long improvements:
be able to enter either format

When coming out of "tracking find" graphic messing up

I don't know much about Cloudy Nights. I think you have to be a member and pay to advertise but not sure. I will do some checking on that tomorrow.

There is actually a discussion about this on Cloudy Nights:

Yes, I know. I have been following it as you can see I have made a comment against one writer.
