NexStar 6SE Supported?
« on: April 10, 2017, 10:13:22 PM »
I just joined the forum and downloaded the program. I have not attempted to track any satellites yet, but before I get too deep into learning how to use the program, I wanted to know if my NexStar 6SE is supported? I have connected it and tried using the NexStarGPS Continuous Tracking interface in the Alt-Az mode and it does drive the motors. But will this work to track the Satellites?

Thanks,
Randy

Randy,

Satellite Tracker should work fine with the Nexstar 6SE. You can find additional information by doing a search for   Nexstart 6SE   in the Yahoo Group's message archive which is located here on the forum.

Hello everyone :)

I would like to ask you all for advice. I downloaded this software:

http://www.heavenscape.com/Forums/index.php?topic=94.0

I used it mainly for the ISS tracking look at some of my best:

I'm happy and I'd like to continue doing so. But for some reason, for me unknown, my software stopped working. I use Celestron Nexstar 6SE, Firmware, MotorBoard, HandControl, everything is acutalized at the moment. Mounting the mount with the PC is OK. Connecting to Stellarium and navigation through this program is OK. But when I launch SatTrack, I connect the mount and while simulating the fly, the mount is going to the wrong side, not fast enough as in my last times.

It stopped doing nothing. Really. I did not update anything on my PC, or Win10. And I even checked all settings, such as winter / summer time, GPS position and whatever.

Please do you know how to advise me? Or help with what could be a problem?

Did you update your orbital elements?

Are you sure the time is correct and you have the correct time zone?

Did you account for daylight savings time, if this is something that is used in your area?

Did your operating system do an update since everything last worked? If so, you can never tell what effect that might have had although there is a very low probability that an update affected the operation of Satellite Tracker.

That is all I can think of for the moment. Let me know if any of the above had a positive affect.
