Getting accurate time on LX200GPS
« on: July 28, 2015, 01:55:12 AM »
I've noticed that if I let my LX200GPS obtain the time from satellites, it is consistently about 4 seconds ahead of the actual time.

I have set the GPS-UTC Offset to zero, as instructed on numerous websites.

Even if I watch the NMEA output from the serial console using the :gps# command, I still see this 4-second discrepancy.

What's the best way to accurately set the time on the LX200GPS?

This would be a good question to pose to the Yahoo Group LX-200GPS at this link: You will probably get some answers there.
