Satellite Tracker Bug Reports / Re: Telescope Runaways
« Last post by John Eccles on December 01, 2017, 09:53:22 PM »
I haven't heard of such reports before. However, you might want to do a search of the old Yahoo Group archived messages to see if there were any similar reports. I would normally do that but right now I am very busy with packing and planning for my next move back to Florida. So I am really tied up. Go to the section of this forum called: "Software Repository, Archived Messages, Pictures, and Software Utilities - You must be registered to download files or view content! " and go to the subheading "Archived Messages". You can do a search using keywords like meridian, runaway, and the like.

Satellite Tracker Bug Reports / Telescope Runaways
« Last post by Matthew Nelson on December 01, 2017, 02:03:09 PM »
I have been using 2.6.1 extensively with a Celestron CGE-Pro mount.  On occasion when slewing
to, or tracking, a satellite near the meridian, the software will run the telescope toward the floor
in declination.  Shutting off tracking stops the telescope, which then repoints normally and usually
re-tracks the target as well.

Satellite Tracker Feature Additions / Asteroids/NEO's tracking
« Last post by Henk Spoelstra on October 16, 2017, 08:54:01 AM »
One of my main goals and interests are to observe fast moving NEO's.

Would be great if Satellite Tracker has this option.

There has been some discussion about this in this forum:

Satellite Tracker Bug Reports / Re: Download Error

The program runs on Windows 7 okay. There are people running on Windows 10 but I believe they are running on Windows 10 32 bit. You may be running Windows 10 64 bit which may be your problem. I have not run Windows 10 here because I just don't like it. I know, as a developer, I should be using Windows 10 now. I do have a new machine that has Windows 10 on it but I have not had a chance to move my development environment over to that. In any event, the Satellite Tracker program is designed to run only on 32 bit since the compiler I am using does not have 64 bit capability.

Satellite Tracker Bug Reports / Re: Download Error

I have downloaded both 2.5.1 and 2.6.1; and followed instructions as directed below to change extensions.  Still i get the same message that file is corrupted.  I am attempting to run on Windows 10, and have heard that program is intended for XP.  Would this be a factor?

Which file are you trying to download?

Please keep in mind this fact:

When you download the file one must rename the extent from .e__ (that is dot e underscore underscore) to .exe since .exe files are hard and sometimes not permitted to be downloaded as captured by anti-virus programs.

Satellite Tracker Bug Reports / Download Error
« Last post by Joey Tucker on July 27, 2017, 02:20:05 AM »
I have made several attempts to download Satellite Tracker.  In each instance after download and upon installation attempts, I get repeated messages that the "File is corrupted".  Any advise.

Thanks and apology if posted in the wrong link.
