Problem with "Start Tracking"
« on: May 25, 2018, 03:51:44 PM »
Hi everybody
Just joined this forum and I want to present you my telescope.
This is a SW 254/1200 in a homemade observatory.
My mount is a EQ6 SW and I pilot this one by EQMOD and EQTOOTH.

So, I have also a problem with Satellite Tracker :
I use HWVSP and EQMODLX to connect my EQ6 with Satellite Tracker 2.4.9d and this one works very well.
I want to film the ISS when it cross around my observatory position.
But, when I run "Start Tracking", I have this message :
"Unable position telescope within time limits
May to increase maximum max slew rate"

Anyone have any ideas ?
Many thanks and excuse me if my english is bad.................I live in France...
ALAIN

The ISS moves very quickly when it gets high in the sky. I observed this when I was tracking the ISS for an amateur radio school contact. I noticed that the antenna was moving very fast once the ISS was coming towards overhead and leaving from overhead. So it is possible that your mount cannot move fast enough to keep up and, hence, the message you are receiving.
